The “X-Lab” is an X-Ray Diffraction Facility located within the Department of Chemistry at the University of Guelph.

The Chemistry X-Ray Facility was established in Spring 2011 to serve the needs of research groups within and outside the Department of Chemistry at the University of Guelph. It initially emerged as a new laboratory in Prof. D. Soldatov’s research group and was later expanded to a fee-based multiuser Facility accommodating new personnel, new equipment and an additional room for computations. Today, the Facility provides support to the colleges within the University of Guelph, other academic institutions, and industries within the surrounding community. The Facility houses PXRD, XRF, and SCXRD instruments.

The booking website for the Facility is uogxlab.skedda.com. Please create an account to view the scheduler. Users will be able to book time only after training sessions have been completed and approved by the Facility Manager.
